Urban Textures: Dublin Field Study

This project documents a series of digital scans collected across Dublin, capturing textures, surfaces, and overlooked details within the urban environment. The work explores how everyday materials can be reframed through scanning, editing, and digital manipulation.Using Adobe software, I developed each scan into abstract visual compositions that highlight pattern, distortion, and accidental design found in the city. The process focuses on observation, transformation, and reinterpretation rather than documentation.The project sits between photography, digital collage, and visual experimentation, exploring how expression can emerge from ordinary environments through editing and recontextualisation.
